Installing Oracle SOA Suite 12c – Part 4: Repository Creation Utility (RCU)

In this post we will install the Repository Creation Utility (RCU)

O RCU will define the database schema that SOA Suite uses to accomplish its tasks, such as audit and etc …

he installation will be done on Ubuntu Linux 64bit version: 16:04, the minimum hardware and software for Oracle SOA Suite 12c installation can be found here: http://docs.oracle.com/html/E18558_01/fusion_requirements.htm

Unlike installing SOA Suite 11g it is now no longer necessary to accomplish the download of this package because it is already within the first download we do in Part 3.

See for example where is my setup:

Enter the folder /app/oracle/homeOracle12c/oracle_common/bin and run the command:

sudo ./rcu

On the screen below click Próximo

Leave the options below marked and click Próximo

Now complete as the information from your database, in my case the Oracle XE and click Próximo

In this screen click below Ignorar

If everything is right as below now click OK

Below leave the option Crie o novo prefixo marked with the name of which is the default and below in Componente select:

SOA Suite

Note: See that scoring only this option, it will mark the other necessary for you as above:

Click Proximo, then appears the screen below, then click OK

This next screen is very attentive the password that you will enter, because we will use it later for installation of Dominio. (I suggest storing it somewhere not to forget), then click Proximo
